2025 FASE Undergraduate Summer Research Program (USRP): Registration

The FASE USRP represents a community of undergraduate students engaging in summer research in the Faculty of Applied Science & Engineering. Participation in this program provides access to dissemination workshops, career panels, success skills, and faculty resources/experts to support the summer research experience. Students are encouraged to enroll in this program once they have secured a research placement/supervisor.

In addition to connecting each week as a student community, participants will interact with experts from across the Faculty to discuss topics such as Research Ethics, Safety in the Research Environment, Academic Referencing, Scientific Abstract Preparation, and Research Presentations. All participants are also encouraged to present their final research experience at the annual Undergraduate Engineering Research Day (UnERD) in mid-August.

This program is free and open to UofT and non-UofT undergraduate students who are engaging in summer research in the Faculty of Applied Science and Engineering at the University of Toronto.

Sessions will take place in-person Wednesday mornings from 9:30am to 11:00am ET for a total of 10 sessions over the course of the summer. The first session will take place on May 14th, 2025. Registration to participate in USRP is open until the last session scheduled on August 6th, 2025.

U of T participants who complete a minimum of 8 USRP sessions, plus the final project dissemination at UnERD, will be eligible to apply for Co-Curricular Recognition (CCR) on their transcript. U of T students who wish to apply for CCR recognition must register before May 21, 2025 and attend all remaining sessions to be eligible for CCR recognition.
